A Sunday brunch is always welcome. But, a Spanish Sunday brunch with a Wine Bazaar is just taking it to another level. A few weeks ago, we visited Café Pico at Le Mills on a Sunday afternoon. Amidst the chaos of Masjid Bunder, we walked into this beautiful store. From clothes to dinnerware, this oddly located store has everything. Tucked away in a corner of the store is Café Pico.
What I loved about the café was the space. Although it is enclosed on all sides, the spacious mill interior created a lovely setup. The original structure has been retained and that itself adds to the sheer sense of space. The high ceiling and sunlight peering through just added to the feeling of relaxation. I was eager to try out the food and wine which was in store for us.
What was on offer:
- Selection of wines
- Spanish Tapas Bar
- All you can eat buffet
- Cheese and meats from around the world
During entry, we received four coupons. One coupon gave me a glass of Sangria and the other three allowed me to try a glass each of Fratelli, Torres and Ixora. What more can you ask for?
Here’s a look at the delicious Spanish spread by Chef Gracian…
- Chorizo, Chickpea and Spinach on Pane Con tomato
- Balsamic Mushroom with Blue Cheese (Absolutely delicious)
- Chorizo and Chicken Tortilla (may I have one more please?)
- Fava Beans, Artichoke and Spinach on Pane Con Tomato
- Aubergine Ravioli with Manchego and Caponata (Must try)
- Gazpacho etc…
At Rs.1950, this wine bazaar is completely worth it. Look out for all their events and announcements and taste the delicious meal specially prepared to go with the wines. Go with family or with friends, you will surely have a delightful time.
